Before the insulation and sheetrock can be put in, the gas pipes and plumbing for the house must be put in. 

This includes the plumbing for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and outdoor faucets to name a few. Large tub/shower units are also framed in at this time.

This phase takes a couple weeks.
